Falls is part of a series that provides new and experienced Administrators with clinical knowledge of high-risk problem-prone areas of resident care. Whether you have a clinical background or not, this program will provide a basic overview of fall prevention, as well as a guide on what to look for in evaluating your fall prevention protocols.

  2. Identify 3 risk factors for falls.
  3. Identify 3 ways to reduce fall risks.
  4. Identify 3 complications associated with falls.
  5. Describe the intent of Federal Tags 324 and 325 – Accidents, and the regulatory implications of a poor fall prevention program.
  6. Discuss how the Culture Change Values “Know each person” and “Each person can and does make a difference” become an important part of a fall prevention protocol.
