Learn to use Quality Measure/Indicator Reports to identify potential Department of Health Survey issues and to improve resident Quality of Life and Quality of Care.

OBJECTIVES:

Upon completion of this course, the learner will be able to:

1. Discuss the purpose and use of Quality Measure/Indicator Reports.
2. Conduct a systematic review of the Quality Measure/Indicator Reports for his/her nursing home.
3. Locate the Quality Indicators identifying potential areas of concern.
4. Explain how to utilize team members’ expertise to address identified risk areas, acknowledging the Culture Change Value “Everyone can and does make a difference.”
5. Choose resident samples for internal review.
