OBJECTIVES:
Upon completion of this course, the learner will
be able to:
- Articulate the dying process, including stage theory and physical presentation.
- Specify the psychosocial impact a resident’s
death has on other residents, team members, and families.
- Articulate the impact the home’s response
to death has on other residents, team members, and families.
- Describe ways in which Culture Change can positively influence the death
process in long term care.
- Describe how to maintain census while maintaining positive interpersonal
relationships in the home.
